Luận văn gồm: 03 chương với các nội dung cơ bản sau:

- Chương 1. Cơ sở lý luận và pháp lý về phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ.

Đây là chương mang tính dẫn luận, là cơ sở cho phần nội dung ở chương 2 và chương 3. Qua đó, làm căn cứ để đánh giá thực trạng và giải pháp phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ nhằm đáp ứng nhu cầu thực tiễn, nhu cầu tiếp cận, sử dụng tài liệu lưu trữ ở hiện tại và tương lai.

- Chương 2. Khảo sát, đánh giá việc phát huy giá trị của tài liệu lưu trữ đang bảo quản tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội.

Nội dung của Chương 2 trình bày khái quát về Chi cục Văn thư - Lưu trữ thành phố và Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội và kết quả khảo sát thực trạng và các biện pháp phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội. Trên cơ sở đó, tác giả có những nhận xét, đánh giá một cách khách quan về những ưu điểm, hạn chế và nguyên nhân tồn tại của việc phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ. Đây cũng là cơ sở để tác giả đưa ra một số giải pháp để phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ ở chương 3.

- Chương 3. Đề xuất một số giải pháp phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử Thành phố.

Trên cơ sở phân tích, đánh giá thực trạng về phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội trong thời gian qua, tác giả đề xuất một số giải pháp chính và giải pháp hỗ trợ nhằm đẩy mạnh việc phát huy giá trị tài liệu lưu trữ tại Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội trong thời gian tới.

12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong  thực tiễn: Kết quả nghiên cứu của Luận văn là tài liệu tham khảo hữu ích cho việc phát huy giá trị của tài liệu lưu trữ Trung tâm Lưu trữ lịch sử thành phố Hà Nội.

The thesis consists of 03 chapters including the following basic contents:

- Chapter 1. Theoretical and legal basis for promotion of the value of archives

This is an introductory chapter, the basis for the contents in chapters 2 and 3. It is a  basis for assessment of the current status and solutions for promotion of the value of archives to meet practical demands, access demands and use of archives in the present and in the future.

- Chapter 2. Survey and evaluation of the promotion of the value of archivesuncer presentation at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City.

Chapter 2 presents an overview of Branch of Record and Archives Departmentand Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City.and the results of the survey on the current status and solutions for propmotion of the value of archives at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City. On that basis, the writergives objective comments and evaluation about the advantages, limitations and causes for problems of promotion of the value of archives. This is also the basis for the writer to propose some solutions to promote the value of archives in chapter 3.

 - Chapter 3. Proposing some solutions for promotion of the value of archives at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City.

Based on the analysis and assessment of the current status of promotion of the value of archives at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City in the past time, the writer proposes some  main and supportive solutions to push up the promotion of the value of archives at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City in the coming time.

12. Practical applicability: The findings of the thesis are a useful reference for promoting the value of archives at Historical Archives Center of Hanoi City.
